Music, Movies and Sports

If you lock me in a room for a week with no internet, no phone and no social media, I will be fine. But if you take away music, movies, and sports from my life, I will go insane. These three things are my escape from the chaos of the world and my source of joy and inspiration. Here in this blog post, I want to share my perspective on these three forms of entertainment and their emphasis in my life.
Music
Music has always been a constant companion in my life. It has the power to take oneself to another dimension, to evoke emotions and memories, and to provide solace in different emotions. Music teaches to appreciate the beauty of life and to find joy in the little things.
I don't have a very very specific genre of music that I prefer. I enjoy a wide range of music, from classical to rock, from jazz to pop. Youtube music categories my top genres as 47% Rock, 24% Pop, 18% Indie, 11% Hip hop and 8% R&B for past 3 months. I have a soft spot for rock music, especially classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. Their music has stood the test of time and continues to inspire generations.
I consider music artists as philosophers of the modern world. They have the ability to express complex emotions and ideas through their music, and their lyrics often reflect the social and political issues of their time. Be it, Bob Dylan's protest songs, David Bowie's social commentary, or Kendrick Lamar's commentary on race and identity, music has the power to challenge our perspectives and broaden our understanding of the world.
I feel Music is a universal language that transcends borders and cultures. It has the power to bring people together, to create a sense of community and belonging. Though on personal side, I haven't been able to attend live music events due to my social anxiety, I have always been fascinated by the energy and excitement of live performances.
I can't imagine a world without music. It is an essential part of the human experience, and it has the power to heal, inspire, and transform.
Movies
Movies are another form of art that has always captivated me. They have the power to transport us to different worlds, to make us laugh, cry, and feel a range of emotions. Movies can be a source of inspiration, a way to escape reality, and a means of exploring complex themes and ideas.
I dont categorize myself as a avid cinephile, but I do enjoy watching movies from different genres and cultures. I appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into making a film, from the writing and directing to the acting and cinematography.
Maybe controversial, but I feel movies are a better medium than books to convey a story. Though, books allow for more in-depth exploration of characters and themes, movies have the ability to bring a story to life in a way that is visually and emotionally engaging.
Every director has their own unique style and approach to storytelling. They have their own distinctive artistic approach, and their films often reflect their personal vision and perspective. You can see the director's signature in the way they frame shots, use music, and develop characters.
Talking about movies, I am also intrigued by the comic book world. I have always been fascinated by the superhero genre and the way it explores themes of power, responsibility, and morality. I think my excitement whenever new CBM drops will never fade away. I appreciate the artistry and creativity that goes into creating these films, from the visual effects to the storytelling. There will be debates everytime a new CBM project is released about comic accuracy and liberty taken by the director, but I feel that as long as the essence of the story is preserved, comic accuracy need not be 1 on 1 on screen.
Sports
Sports have always been a part of my life, from as early as I can remember. I got into the sports world through cricket, and it has been a passion of mine ever since. Now, I enjoy watching and supporting my favs across different sports, including Football, Tennis and Formula 1.
I admire the grandeur of the professional sports world, everything that involves in it from the players, coaches, and support staff to the fans and media. Watching sport gives me the joy that no other art forms can provide, either I am love-watching or hate-watching.
Athelets are the epitome of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. They inspire individuals to push their limits and strive for excellence. People try to emulate what they see in their favorite athletes, whether it's their work ethic, discipline, or mindset. So, I feel Sports and athletes should never get into grey area of being just a form of entertainment.
I take athletes as individuals who are closest to superheroes. No any sport should serve as a platform for individuals who has a offense or a criminal record. I feel, if you are a public figure, you should be a role model for the society and should be held accountable for your actions. Athletes are not just representing themselves, but also their teams, sponsors, and fans. They have a responsibility to uphold the values of their sport and to be positive role models for the next generation.
